What is in your cup?Prakash Tewari
If you are holding a cup of coffee when someone comes along and bumps into you and makes you spill your coffee everywhere. Right? Why did you spill the coffee? “Well because someone bumped into me, of course” Wrong answer. You spilled the coffee because there was coffee in your cup. Had there been tea in the cup, you would have spilled tea.
*Whatever is inside the cup, is what will spill out. Therefore, when life comes along and shakes you, which often happens, whatever is inside you will come out. *
So we have to ask ourselves, “What’s in my cup?” When life gets tough, what spills over? Joy, gratefulness, peace and humility? Or anger, bitterness, harsh words and reactions? Whose choice ?
From today let’s work towards filling our cups with gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation for ourselves and kindness, Gentleness and love for others. Life is love, joy and happiness. It takes time to wash the muddy clothes in the washing machine. Right? Wake up.
If you see somebody is angry or carrying any hatred or jealousy against you, never mind. Give them some time to be centered. Know that they are taking their own time to wipe their inner dust. You must move on with clarity in mind , purity in heart and sincere actions. Relax. Be at ease with yourself and with everyone around.
